1. About these terms
These terms apply to home visits and remote technology-support services supplied by Kilwhiss Home Tech. They do not reduce any rights you have under UK consumer law.
2. Booking and scope
We will agree the requested work, location, estimated price and appointment arrangements before starting. If we discover additional work or cost, we will explain it and obtain your agreement before continuing.
3. Prices and payment
Current introductory prices include £55 for a home visit of up to 60 minutes, £75 for new-device setup, £85 for an online-safety check and Family Support Plans from £15 per month. Confirm the final price when booking. Payment is due as agreed on the booking confirmation or invoice.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel or rearrange by contacting us as soon as possible. If you buy at a distance or in your home, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. If you expressly ask us to begin within that period, you may have to pay for work supplied before cancellation. The right may be affected once a service has been fully performed with your prior request and acknowledgement.
5. Your responsibilities
You must have authority to ask us to work on the devices, accounts and services involved; provide accurate information; keep passwords and authentication codes private; maintain suitable backups where reasonably possible; and provide a safe working environment for a home visit.
6. Passwords and remote access
We do not need to retain your passwords. Where authentication is required, you should enter the password yourself where practical. Remote access will be used only with your permission and ended when the support session is complete.
7. Data and backups
Technology work can involve a risk of data loss. We will use reasonable care, but you remain responsible for keeping adequate backups unless backup work is specifically included in the agreed service.
8. Our service
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Some faults depend on third-party services, equipment condition, manufacturer support or internet availability and may not be capable of repair.
9. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses where you purchased the service as a consumer.
10. Complaints
Please email info@kilwhiss.uk or telephone +44 1337 302 170. We will acknowledge the complaint and work with you toward a fair resolution.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to where you live where consumer law permits.
